I went to sleep early that night just so I can see him in my dreams again. I close my eyes and there was a shadow standing in the distance resembling Drew.

“Drew?” I say squinting my eyes.

I couldn’t see him but had a feeling it wasn’t who I was expecting.

He started walking towards me and sing on his guitar.

“I never knew you sing?” I say in a whisper.

As he got closer I recognized him very well and realized it wasn’t drew after all.

The song was beautiful and came from the heart, but it didnt give me butterflies like it used to do when we were just 10 and 9.

when he was done, I began to talk. I had to be honest with him.

“It’s beautiful. but I can’t, Jack”.

Why not? I’ll give you everything. I’ll make sure to always make you happy for the rest of our lives. he pleaded.

“You wont be able to. I say.

Yes I can. give me a chance. he says.

“How’d you know id be here, anyways?” i asked.

i just followed your thoughts. jack said.

“you cant..only he ca…” i stopped myself in mid sentence realizing what i said.

“He?”

“ I’ m sorry” i say

“is he the reason why you can’t be with me? he says.

“ I don't know” i say.

He looks at me with his brown eyes.

“Maybe”…yeah?” i finish the thought.

“How can we rewrite the stars for something that was not meant to be written in the first place?” I finally say.

“How long?” he asked.

“ A couple of months. we never met in person its been happening all here. its weird because it feels as if we know each other, as if we met before and have a history together, but in the real world he doesn’t seem to exist which i need to find out why. you’re not going to understand and it’s ok if you don’t.” i say.

“ I get it. “ he says.

“ you do? i asked surprised.

he nods.

go find him, Jess. i wont stand in the way. he says with a smile. I’ll always be here for you as a friend:)

“Thank you. i say. “you're a good guy.”

“ I know” he says with a smile.

I have one problem though. he sent me clues in these dreams on how to find him but when i try to find the clues in the real world it doesn't seem to exist. i say.

maybe i can help?

“when we wake up, meet me in the library on the 3rd floor in our place. i have it all written down.”

“ you got it. i’ll see you then.” he says.

we hug one last time before it was time for the both of us to wake up.

As I opened my eyes, I felt a mix of excitement and fear. On one hand, I was eager to find out more about the mystery man who had been appearing in my dreams. On the other hand, I was scared that the clues he had been sending me might not lead to anything in real life.

I quickly got dressed and headed to the library on the third floor of our building. Jack was already there, sitting at a table with a notebook in front of him.

“Hey, Jess!” he greeted me with a smile. “I took the liberty of writing down everything I could remember from our dreams. Maybe it will help us find some clues.”

He pushed the notebook towards me and I started reading. There were song lyrics, descriptions of places and objects, and even numbers and symbols that didn’t make any sense at first. But as I kept reading, I started to see a pattern emerging.

“Jack, I think I know what we’re supposed to do,” I said, my heart racing. “I think we need to go to this address. It’s a park near the city center. And we need to go there at midnight.”

“Midnight?” Jack asked with a raised eyebrow. “Are you sure about this?”

“Yes, I am,” I replied, feeling more confident by the minute. “I think this is it. This is where I’ll finally meet him.”

Jack nodded, and we quickly gathered our things and headed out. The drive to the park was filled with anticipation, and as we arrived, I felt a rush of adrenaline. We made our way to the designated spot, and I felt like my heart was going to burst out of my chest.

And then, suddenly, there he was. The mystery man from my dreams, standing right in front of me. I couldn’t believe it. It was like a dream come true.

“Hello, Jess,” he said, with a smile that lit up the entire park. “I’m glad you finally found me.”

I was speechless. I had no idea what to say, but I didn’t need to say anything. He took me in his arms and held me close, and I knew that everything was going to be alright. From that moment on, we were never apart.
